Sushant Singh Rajput is currently busy shooting for Abhishek Kapoor’s Kedarnath, which also stars Saif Ali Khan’s daughter Sara Ali Khan. It’s with this film that Sara will be marking her Bollywood debut. The film’s poster was recently released in which Sushant and Sara's silhouette amidst a calamity is depicting their equation in the film. Incidentally, he’s cast as a pithoo ( a porter who carries things and people on his back) whom a beautiful rich tourist, played by Sara Ali Khan falls in love with.
Now as per the latest buzz we hear, SSR has been offered the remake of the Hollywood film The Fault in Our Stars. Earlier the movie was said to be helmed by Raabta director Dinesh Vijan. But post the failure of Raabta, the makers are apparently doing a rethink. A source close to the film told a popular daily, “Dinu’s film failed to impress and the studio was apprehensive about giving him the chance to helm this one with the same actor. Reports even suggest that Sushant tried to have Dinesh onboard for the film. But after a point, he too couldn’t do much.
Sushant, who will be seen playing the role of a pithoo in Kedarnath, spoke to a popular tabloid about his character in an interview. He told, “These are things, I normally don’t do in my life but I guess, I should be doing them… A few days back if you asked me if I knew how to cook I’d have said no. Now I can cook everything – like daal, chawal, roti to sabzis. Recently, I went to meet the CRPF jawans at Manipur on August 15. I made some nice, perfectly round, thin rotis there for them! Now I can safely say I have the basic instinct to survive and how.”
Kedarnath is being co-presented by Balaji Motion Pictures, Guy In the Sky Pictures, KriArj Entertainment and T-Series. The film will be SSR’s second outing with director Abhishek Kapoor after his debut film Kai Po Che.
