Shamsher Singh, renowned musician and brother of popular singers and performers, Daler Mehndi and Mika Singh, passed away on October 9, 2017. He was ill for the past two months and was suffering from Jaundice.
Grief stricken Mika took to twitter to announce the sad demise of his elder brother. He wrote, “Waheguru ji ka Khalsa sri Waheguru ji ki Fateh… Very sad news for our family that our older brother Ustad ShamsherSingh ji has passed away.”
After this many celebrities expressed their condolences for the late musician on various social media platforms.

Shamsher Singh was part of Daler Mehndi’s troupe and performed at many occasions with his brother. He was also a well-known songwriter and record producer in his own right. Recently, he was seen as the jury member on the kids reality show, Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Lil Champs. Shamsher Singh was reportedly suffering from jaundice for a while and was admitted to Vedanta hospital in Delhi.
This is what Mikas’s spokesperson had to say. “Mikaji’s brother Ustad Samsher Singhji passed away this morning, in Vedanta hospital in Delhi. Mka sir is in Canada right now. Samsher Singhji was suffering from jaundice from last one and a half months, and was hospitalised for the same.”
